Simply nothing to complain about, perfect stay. Pleasant hotel in a stunning location in the hills above Funchal, good personal. Delicious selection for breakfast with fresh fruit and juice. Location not far from Also down the road from Casa da Guida, a well kept garden and glorious views and the airport and the ocean.

I booked a king room with central heating, a multi-channel TV, and a cozy sitting area. The staff was wonderfully welcoming and always available to assist. The location was stunningly quiet, situated at a moderate distance from Southover Grange Gardens.

The location is great, easy to reach a number of Levadas and very easy to get out in the nature. The village is sweet and intresting as an example of a very small and typical village. The younger hotel staff was nice and friendly and very eager to help, however not so experienced. The room was exactly what we needed and well cleaned.
The hotel is not so "friendly" you do not feel like you are supposed to be in the garden, we never understood how to get access to the swimingpool, payment in advance was demanded, food in the restaurant was OK but the restaurants in the village were much better. There is so much unused potential in this hotel it could develop from good to more than great with just a few actions in the right areas.

Excellent position and junior staff, very clean, good breakfast, lovely surroundings and pool looked nice
No coffee or drinking water in room, no outside door key and too many notices forbidding things. Musty smell in main hallway and not easy to move around queitly in the hotel, which can disturb you.

I thoroughly enjoyed the cozy and charming ambiance of Hotel Rural A Quinta. The rustic decoration and well-maintained general areas gave me a sense of comfort and nostalgia. The accessibility of the hotel was a major plus for a senior woman like me. There were no steep steps or difficult pathways to navigate, making it easy for me to move around and explore the beautiful surroundings.
It would have been even better if the children working there had been more attentive and friendly towards the elder guests. A warm and welcoming attitude from the staff would have made my vacation even more enjoyable.

The hotel was on a regular bus route making it easy to get to nearby towns for exploring. It was spotlessly clean and had a well-maintained garden with glorious views. We enjoyed a good and plentiful breakfast each morning with friendly and helpful staff. We found the location to be perfect for discovering the hike routes of the eastern part of the island.
No complaints.

I had a blast exploring the levadas and playing golf. The hotel was a great base for discovering Madeira. I enjoyed taking a dip in the outdoor pool and admiring the majestic views from the golf course.
Feeling like I was in a sauna with all the unnecessary bedclothes. So toasty, it's not like I wanted to sleep or anything!

The breakfast was absolutely delicious with a wide variety of options to choose from. We enjoyed the beautiful scenery and peaceful surroundings, giving us the perfect romantic getaway. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, always going above and beyond to ensure that we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We also loved the fact that the parking was easily accessible and the free Wi-Fi kept us connected to the world outside.
While the rooms were spacious and comfortable, we found the lack of heating quite uncomfortable during the cooler nights. We also wished that the location was a bit closer to the airport, as the taxi ride was slightly longer than anticipated.

This hotel in a rural area is a hidden gem surrounded by lush vegetation. It offers easy access to Levada walks, making it perfect for nature lovers. The location provides a cool escape from the intense heat of Funchal. The well-kept garden and glorious views make it a picturesque retreat. The spacious rooms come equipped with a heating unit, which was a lifesaver during the cold and stormy days. The breakfast spread, although could have had more fresh fruit, was still amazing with its variety of options like fresh juice and a wonderful dark coffee.
Everything was just perfect for a relaxing stay.
